A complicated project with around 250,000 tonnes of Crushed Aggregate and Asphalt works with the Airfield Markings.
The West Apron included the Compass Calibration pad where special non-ferrous materials were also required to be laid. This opened up the West end of Chek Lap Kok allowing more plane parking for the Maintenance Facilities of HAECO and CASL and had to be built around the large Jet Engine testing facility.
